What comes to mind when you mention self-care?

Saunas, spas, massage oils, getaways, meditation?

There is one self-care practice that we often miss – even though it is right under our nose.

Your words.

The words you speak have incredible power.

Power to encourage.

Power to strengthen.

Power to harm.

Power to humiliate.

Power to heal.

Is it possible that in our search for wellness and inner peace, we have forgotten to work on the words we say to ourselves and to others?

A wise book states it is not possible for a spring to produce fresh and salty water.

Words are the building blocks of behaviour, emotions, connection and intention.

Is it time to start speaking mindfully to yourself and to others?

Leave it next to your bed so you read it first thing in the morning or leave it near the bathroom mirror and start a great morning habit.
