The use of essential oils in Aromatherapy is a beautiful and effective way of managing symptoms of stress and anxiety.
However, it does pay to be cautious as essential oils are volatile oils which can cause dermal / skin damage if not used as recommended.
1. ALWAYS dilute your essential oils with a carrier oil such as Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba, Grapeseed, Apricot Kernel, Avocado, Coconut. Comment CARRIER and I will send you recommended dilution ratios.
2. The dropper on your bottle of essential oils is there to help regulate how much essential oil you use. The only time I ever remove the dropper is to access thick / viscous oils such as vertivert or patchouli.
These oils (good quality ones) are very thick and have the consistency of syrup which means they take ages to come out of the bottle. I still recommend caution because they can still cause harm if used without a carrier oil.
3. Less is more! Please be mindful of this. Essential oils are VERY strong and you only need a little to enjoy an effective Aromatherapy experience safely.
