Creating a Fleurette herbal tea range has been a dream come true. Indulging in a warm cup of herbal tea is in my view a beautiful way to complete an aromatherapy experience.
From the very beginning of this process, I was determined to collaborate with a naturopath. I didn’t want to work in isolation and miss out on the unique insights which naturopaths possess about herbs and medicinal plants.
And for your sake, I am glad I did.
There are some herbs that make sense to use in aromatherapy that do not translate as well in a herbal tea. For example, for the Revive & Restore herbal tea – I wanted it to be an uplifting, reviving blend so I recommended including rosemary herbs.
The naturopath laughed.
“Rosemary will make your tea taste like a Sunday roast.” she said.
It is these little insights that made this collaboration an enriching experience and well worth the weeks of tweaking recipes that came after.
As we worked our way through the range, we exchanged so much knowledge and gained more respect for each of our respective therapies. I learnt more about herbal tea and their health benefits than I thought I would and I look forward to sharing my learnings with you in future blogs.
